My name is Maria Passanha, a Portuguese Artist based between Paris and New York. I am currently studying Art, Media & Technology at Parsons Paris, and recently studied photography and photojournalism at Parsons School of Design in New York.
Photography has become my way of understanding and connecting with the world. What began as an interest has grown into a deeper focus on storytelling and visual narratives.
My work moves between documentary and more constructed environments, often focusing on people, spaces, and the subtle details that reveal something more intimate and real.
I created MP Unseen as a space where I explore these ideas through both photography and writing. A space to share what often goes unnoticed: quiet moments, in-between states, and the stories that exist beneath the surface.
Writing is an important part of my process. It helps me reflect on what I observe, develop ideas more clearly, and build a deeper narrative around my images.
